Well, something like this is impossible for me to draw. It's too good.

beekart responds:

no no no.. this is very doable , just take a look at the video, when you just sort of layer everything and treat it as a 'part' of a painting instead of the whole painting, it much less scary.. baby steps ;) You can do it!

Great work! I can't get how people nail these textures so good. I try too, but.. doesn't work so well.

rainwalker007 responds:

To be honest i did try these before like 3 or 4 times. It never worked for me coz i was thinking like how to bend material into a sphere. But when you think about the material itself how would it react in the real world in the shape of a sphere u will notice that it worked for u. Like instead of thinking about fabric rolled in a sphere think what a fabric would look like thrown on top of a sphere? or a sphere looking candle? or a block of cheese in the shape of sphere?

This way ur min wont be thinking of bending up objects. It will be thinking about real life objects just happened to be spherical or a box or whatever shape you want. Give it a try and think of crazy shapes you would put these materials in its really fun :)

I like all your work so far. Perhaps try a Worm from the games Worms?

JinnPixel responds:

It'll be done soon :D

I like how Carl's just kinda standing there, being annoyed by waiting. xD

Nearing Comic 500 I see! :D

ChazDude responds:

500 will blow your mind.

Fantastic! :o

I've seen some odd pieces hit the front page, but this one takes home the cake. Makes me wonder if I'll ever hit the frontpage. :(

Wegra responds:

I'll put in a good word to Tom

Oh gawd! So good! It's been ages since I saw one of your submissions! :D

RazorShader responds:

Thanks, I didn't know I kept people waiting :D
Just checked your profile and saw you live in the Netherlands too. If you are or read Dutch as well, you might enjoy my blog; I post more images containing Dutch puns there than on NewGrounds. You can find a link to my blog on my profile page.

Hot damn you whip these up fast! I really love the smoke in this one! I could learn from that. Heh, and a spoon sword plus cup shield? Neat!

His face reminds me so much of a certain character, but damn, I can't remember.

I am also in need for sleep.. Been working on a friggin Worms piece that is taking me way too long.

Anyhow, hope this commissions thing will work out great for you. :)

RandoGW responds:

haha appreciate it, and yeah I have been doing them a lot quicker lately, but I have a few shortcuts, like stabilizers and the magic tool, also, the commissions thing probably wont, I just don't have the following yet I think.

Keen to see the piece your talkin about!

I really dig these as well, but comics a whole lot more! I like the effects you create with the backgrounds too.

As far as buying goes, I probably wouldn't. I never buy art. Doesn't mean yours isn't buy-able. You have a real clean style and so, so smooth!

RandoGW responds:

I appreciate that and I know what you mean, if I had the kind of money to buy commissions I probably would, but only if they had a really unique style like carrion or someone like that. And I actually drew some comics (3 strips) a while ago but the jokes were all terrible as I drew them at like 5 in the morning. (which it is now actually). Also thanks for the constant feedback, you and yonus are great for it.
